Cooking beans…takes about twice as long here due to the elevation

We love her…can’t believe she is 6 weeks old all ready!

Swahili has somewhat taken over our lives these days…in a good way. We have really enjoyed learning this new language, even though we totally make fools of ourselves every day as we try to speak with Kenyans.

Ah simple pleasures….I love that fresh herbs are so cheap here (usually between 5 and 25 cents for a big bunch!)

Baking fresh bread

Line drying ziplock bags…they are not cheap here, so we reuse them as much as possible.

John and our language teacher Ezekiel; we’ve been meeting with him for two hours every day for the past 3 weeks.
